The top picture is Jacob playing with her on the first morning home at 6 am.
The bottom picture is the first day we saw Helena at the orphanage in November. It was her first birthday and we put a party hat on her.
The picture to the right is taken on one of the days spent playing with her in the small room filled with pipes. I thought this was the cutest outfit the orphanage ever dressed her in as she was not all "bundled up" with the institutional booties.
Helena is keeping us up at nights but otherwise is pretty happy during the day. She is beginning to walk and she prefers the gymnastics routine in the kitchen (climbing under chairs) and climbing the stairs (with a chaperone) to playing with her toys in the family room. She has enjoyed meeting the neighbors, especially all the little girls, and is happy to perform all her tricks for them, clapping, waving, etc. Yesterday the phone rang, and she put her hand up to her ear. Yes, she has already talked on the phone, mostly to her daddy.
